Citizens Police Academy Accepting Applications

The Police Department is accepting applications for its upcoming Citizens Police Academy, held Thursday evenings March 12 through May 16. The academy offers a unique "glimpse behind the badge." Classes are a combination of lecture and hands-on activities. Topics include: SWAT and special operations, gangs, 9-1-1 communications, patrol, crime prevention, crime scene, identity theft and a tour of the Adult Detention Center.
