Thank you for your interest in the Lakeport community –one of the most unique amenity rich neighborhoods in Fairfax County. We live steps away from South Lakes shopping center with a Safeway (groceries), CVS (drug store), dry cleaning, great Chinese food (Café Asia), two great pizza places, and most importantly Starbucks!
Our community is the only townhomes that marries the convenience of a shopping center with the beauty of waterfront living in Fairfax. We live on the shores of Lake Thoreau were we have swimming, fishing, boating, and miles of paved and tree covered walking trails. In the summer, we have many lake wide social events: July 4th, end of summer boat island party with live band, and several drive in boat movie nights.
We are within a 1 minute walk (from the cluster entrance) to the community pool. A 3 minute bike ride from the W&OD trail (45 Mile bike trail). By 2013 we will be a 10 minute walk (from the entrance) to the Wiehle Avenue metro stop. We are also blessed with South Lakes High School ranked the #221 best high schools in the country (that is top 1% of all high schools).
