Winners of the Lakeport Fall challenge “best decorated home”

Congratulations to the Pan’s at 1983 Lakeport Way, the Ipiotis at 1948 Lakeport Way and the Consiglio’s at 11123 Lakespray Way. Last Saturday and Sunday, many Lakeport homeowners walked through our neighborhood as judges to determine the best decorated home in our cluster. After the votes were submitted, recounted and then certified, we had a three way tie for best decorated home. We decided that all three homes should be honored as our winners.

We also want to thank our judges. They truly enjoyed walking through our community. They not only enjoyed the decorations but were reminded of the beautiful place that is Lakeport Cluster. To the winners and all those that decorated, we enjoyed your decorations and your contribution to making our community a better place to live.

Fall is here at Lakeport and next Sunday we will be visited by little Ghosts & Goblins. As you walk through the cluster, you can see that many homeowners have decorated their areas for Fall and this upcoming ghoulish event. So, we want to offer a challenge! Who in Lakeport will create the best decorated area? You will be judged on the creativity of following the theme of the season. The judges will make their selection on Saturday night, October 30^th. A Lakeport homeowner is providing the winning prize, thank you.

We encourage everyone to participate but this is strictly your choice and no homeowner fees will be used for the prize. We would ask that everyone remember that our little ones will be walking through the cluster Sunday night. So, please remember safety first. Let’s make sure that everyone drives a little slower Sunday. Also, if you are putting up lights (for this event) they should be taken down after Sunday (not longer than 15days).

We want to thank those that have already created a more festive community and the many more that will make this coming week-end a special Lakeport event.

2011 LAKEPORT GREEN CHALLENGE

A) Looking for a minimum of 5 interior units and 5 end units (two divisions) to participate in the Lakeport Green Challenge. The goal is to have some friendly cluster competition on try to save energy and money.

B) The unit that lowers their electricity usage the most over a year in each division will win a $100 gift certificate to Jackson’s (or other local restaurant of winner’s choice – a local charity will donate the winnings)

C) To enter and qualify you must submit Sep 2010, Jan 2011, Apr 2011, Jun 2011, and Sep 2011 electric bills. The prize will be awarded in Fall 2011. The difference in each unit’s electric usage (KWh) will be published in division standings on a quarterly basis. If you have interest please email James Pan at jpamco@yahoo.com
