September Is National Preparedness Month

Fairfax County is a member of the National Preparedness Month 2009 Coalition, under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).The goal is to increase public awareness about the importance of preparing for emergencies and to take action: get an emergency supply kit; make a family emergency plan; become informed about different threats; and get involved in preparing the community.
