We are very pleased to announce that our dock project cleared a major hurdle when Reston Association's Design Review Board (DRB) approved the design (and with no changes!). Many thanks to Erin Cloney for his successful presentation to the DRB and for his earlier work with engineer Jim Beck on preparing the plans. The next steps are to get approval from Fairfax County and to issue a Request for Proposals (in preparation now) to identify a contractor to build the dock. Once we know the costs, the Board will call a special meeting of all Lakeport owners to discuss the proposal and to vote on the use of reserve funds for the new dock.
